Sentiero Carì–Predèlp
Carì–Predèlp–Carì
Lovely hike through the snow-covered spruce and pine forests above the sunny village of Carì. Passing Prodör and Predelp, it leads to the agri-tourism site Alla Meta, where local products can be tasted.
Carì is situated above Faido at 1650 metres on the southern slope of the Leventina valley. Thanks to its advantageous and sunny position, it is an ideal starting point for leisurely winter hikes. This relatively easy tour starts at the bottom station of the ski lifts in Carì.
Right after Prodör, crossing the spruce and pine forests of the Faura di Düsbina makes for stunning impressions. The forest was planted in the early 1900s to protect Faido from landslides on the side of the Formigario river. After Tarnolgio, a gentle climb over a distance of a half kilometre leads to the alpine settlement of Predèlp, situated at the foot of the Pizzo d'Éra. From here, the highest point of the hike, the view reaches to the mountains opposite, crowned by the Pizzo Campo Tencia.
Only a short distance has to be covered to reach the agri-tourism site Alla Meta. During a stopover, local products from the farm shop La Parpaiora can be tasted. Thus strengthened, you return to the starting point along the same route.
