Chemin de La Sagne

Located at the heart of the Jura mountains, this easy trek in the valley of La Sagne runs with little heigh difference from North-East to South-West. Typical of the Jura are the immense pine trees scattered over the fields dotted with herds of cows and horses.
To reach la Corbatière, it is advisable to follow the route from Chaux-de-fonds on board the legendary small train “Les Ponts-La Sagne”. Combining the trek with this attraction will add extra excitement to your day.

From the station at Corbatière, after a few hundred metres you will reach «L'Abbaye», the starting point for our route. Frequently there is deep snow from the onset of winter. The trekking route follows the cross-country skiing trail.

Mid-way, if you are feeling a little fatigued, you can shorten the excursion by catching the train at La Sagne-Eglise. For those who are not afraid of a five-kilometre trek, the arrival point is La Sagne station. Just before you reach it, you will find a tempting hotel-restaurant where you can relax and gather your strength while you wait for … the next train.
