The start of the winter hiking path is located at Prodalp. At the valley station of the 8-seat chairlift Prodkamm you need to keep to the left and cross the skiing slope. The way is partially shared with cross-country skiers. The common sections are aligned in two lines. The left part is for the hikers and the right part for the cross-country skiers. First the path leads past the upland moor Prodriet and is then continuously inclining.

The location at the flank of the slope offers repeatedly a spectacular view into Sarganserland, while the path winds over Alpine meadows and sparse forests. Thanks to the southern orientation the sun can be fully enjoyed.

At the resting place Rotenberg the wonderful view to Spitzenmeilen opens up. Then the path leads steeper to the Alpine restaurant Panüöl, which is famous for its cheese specialities, for example the popular Panüöl cheese slice.
