Abenteuerweg Mutzbachfall

A hike through the tranquil Mutzgraben, surrounded by woods, to the 14 meter-high Mutzbachfalls - and on over the undulating heights of the Wynigenberge to Wynigen.
From the bus stop (no longer served) by the Riedtwil railway station, first stop is the village centre. Now follow the Oschwand road up to the old mill. The next stretch leads along the Mutzbach through natural unspoilt landscapes, where the stream meanders between the wooded Mutzbach slopes from one valley side to another, with bridges to cross. As the valley narrows until the path becomes a grassy track - the sound of the Mutzbach falls can be heard.

In spring a considerable amount of water flows through the sandstone wall into the basin. The wall is conquered with the aid of a short metal ladder – and a small path blasted in the rock leads along the top edge of the basin, crossing the stream on a small wooden bridge to continue through magnificent beech forest. The path now climbs steeply to the Rüedisbach. Panoramic views become broader progressing from Leggiswil to Riederen; where a small and narrow path leads along a sandstone descent to Wynigen.
