Parcours du Chasseron

An exceptional snowshoe trail, with many points to stop and refuel, taking you to the Chasseron, one of the highest peaks in the Jura, and its unique alpine vista of more than 250km of the Alpine chain.
Starting from Les Rasses, the trail begins with a short stretch along the edge of the forest. The climb of about 400m takes you through the forest in the direction of the famous peaks of Chasseron.

Once you get to the top, the famed view of over 250 kilometres of the highest peaks in the Swiss and French Alps is revealed, promising a unique sensation of freedom and calm. Guaranteed to boost your energy levels, the Chasseron is unique for the intense telluric forces measured on its peaks.

Make sure you visit the «Pierre de la Paix», below the hotel, symbolising the union of sky and earth. Return via a gentle descent through the woods and pastures to Les Cluds and then Les Rasses.
