Schwarzenegg Trail
Amden, Arvenbüel–Amden, Arvenbüel
You will discover some sporting slopes during a tour of Flügespitz’s west side. The challenge is worth it: First you will be presented with the unspoilt winter landscape. And you will be rewarded above with an impressive view of the Säntis and the Churfirsten peaks.
The trail to the frozen Beerenbach descends from the Arvenbüel, and then – on the opposite side of the Grossriet – rises to the Alp Looch. There you will find a view of the prominent Leistkamm.
You can reach the Schiblerwiti overlook via the west side of the Flügenspitz. Impressive: The panorama over the Säntis, the Churfirsten and the Ammler mountains. The descent leads through a small valley at the Schwarzenegg, characterised by a diverse, wild landscape. This area offers the ideal living conditions for wild animals that are also active in the winter. You may be surprised by an animal with a bit of luck or patience.
On the last section, you will follow the winter hiking trail from the Alp Altschen back to the Arvenbüel. Wonderful snowfields and an unobstructed view of the surrounding Leistkamm and Gulmen mountains, along with the Flügenspitz, are another highlight of this tour.
