Alp-Flix-Schneeschuhtrail
Sur–Sur
This circular snowshoe trail leads the Alp FIix. An upland moor of national importance. It offers peace, a wonderful landscape and the view of the Piz Platta.
The starting point of this snowshoe tour is the small village Sur with approx. 70 residents. From the parking lot near the church in Sur, we start our tour towards Plang Grond.
The first part of the climb to the Alp Flix follows the road, which can be used in winter exclusively by snow bikes and sledges. It leads through a fairytale winter landscape to the chapel Son Roc, and from there to the mountain huts of Tigias as well as the mountain hut Piz Platta.
Leaving Tigia, the flat trail leads to the next hamlet, Tgalucas; here, one finds original Mongolian yurts which can be rented. The trail continues to Courts where the descent towards Sur begins. At times, the route runs directly along the mountain brook until one reaches the bridge at point 1779. Here, we cross the brook and run further down the valley to our starting point in Sur.
