Mostelberg-Schlittelweg
Bergstation Mostelberg–Talstation Mostelberg
This varied run crosses fields and zigzags through forests from the Mostelberg mountain station down to Sattel. Night sledging is available on Saturdays. The world's first revolving gondola takes guests to the starting point.
Sledging is fun all year round on the Mostelberg. Visitors get their kicks on the toboggan run in summer, while the sledging run provides the thrills in winter. Both experiences start with a panoramic view on the revolving gondola from Sattel. The journey showcases the village's location between Lake Lauerz in the canton of Schwyz and Lake Ägeri in the canton of Zug.
The sledging run has everything from winding and steep sections to long straights. Whilst the first part runs past the houses of Mostelberg, after a long straight it continues on the edge of the forest. The run passes beneath the revolving gondola for a time, before an enjoyable series of bends in the forest that demands close attention. A long glide brings sledgers to the end of the run, where they can ride the revolving gondola back to the start.
Those who want a break between runs can test their head for heights on the 374m-long Skywalk foot suspension bridge.
