Fronalpstock-Schlittelweg
Bergstation Fronalpstock–Talstation Fronalpstock
The magnificent view is what makes this lively sledging experience on the Stoos unforgettable. People who want faster-paced fun at the foot of the Fronalpstock should try airboarding on the separate slope.
The sledging trip begins with a steep funicular railway journey to the car-free mountain village of Stoos, 1,300m above sea level. After a leisurely ten-minute walk, the comfortable covered chairlift runs up to the summit of the Fronalpstock, where sledgers have more than ten Swiss lakes and countless Alpine peaks at their feet.
They also have a wonderful view throughout the toboggan run, including the Schwyz basin and the Mythen. But at this tearing pace, it's a better idea to focus on the demanding descent. They can always enjoy the panorama on the terrace of the summit restaurant afterwards.
The toboggan run stretches from the summit (1,922m above sea level) to the chairlift middle station. For even faster action, the airboard run next door offers a chance to whizz down the mountain lying face down on an inflatable sledge.
