Fitness difficulty levels: winter hiking

Easy:
up to 5 km and 200 m elevation gain

Medium:
5–12 km or up to 500 m elevation gain

Difficult:
more than 12 km or 500 m elevation gain

Winter hiking time


The hiking time (in hours / minutes) is calculated from the summer hiking time plus 25%.

Fitness difficulty levels: snow shoe trekking

Easy:
up to 4 km and 200 m elevation gain

Medium:
4–8 km or up to 400 m elevation gain

Difficult:
more than 8 km or 400 m elevation gain

Snowshoe trekking time


The hiking time (in hours / minutes) is calculated from the summer hiking time plus 50%. For snowshoe hikes in particular, different snow conditions and snowfalls may mean even longer hiking times.

Fitness difficulty levels: cross-country skiing

Easy:
up to 8 km and 100 m elevation gain

Medium:
8–6 km or up to 200 m elevation gain

Difficult:
more than 16 km or 300 m elevation gain

Technical difficulty levels: sledging

Easy:
max. gradient 14%, ø gradient max. 10%

Medium:
max. gradient 18%, ø gradient max. 12%

Difficult:
max. gradient 18%, ø gradient can be more than
