Country Skate

This slightly undulating skating path takes you over gentle hills and alongside the water. There are views to the Alpsteingebiet and the Zürcher Oberland, as well as picnic sites, swimming spots and public transport connections along the way. Possibility to extend the route as far as Winterthur.
If you are only looking for hiking trails in Thurgau South, you're making a mistake. Inline skaters too can enjoy the lovely route from Hinterthurgau via Bichelsee to Turbenthal. The Country Skate is not just a local skate route, but can be extended at will via the 3 Mittelland Skate.

The route covers cycle paths, often parallel to roads. It goes without saying that a perfect bathing area awaits in Bichelsee, where you can relax and top up your energy levels with a barbecued sausage followed by a cool dip. Up until Turbenthal, the path then mostly follows a separate cycle path.

If you want to continue rolling even further here, follow the Mittelland Route. You can either head northwest to urban Winterthur or south past the lake of Pfäffikon towards Uster and the Greifensee lake.
