Klettgau Skate
Beringen–Wilchingen–Trasadingen–Beringen
Why not visit the Schaffhausen Regional Nature Park once with inline skates? The superb landscape of the Swiss Klettgau can be wonderfully explored on wheels: The round trip takes you through the picturesque villages and the fertile regions of one of the largest wine-growing areas of German-speaking Switzerland.
The village of Beringen is considered the gateway to Klettgau. This is then the ideal starting point for an expedition through the Schaffhausen Blauburgunder country, known for its Pinot Noir. The round trip through the wide valley goes through meadow landscapes, tranquil wine-growing villages and along the seemingly endless vineyards on the gently sloping hillsides.
The view to the Hallauerberg – the largest wine-growing area in the region – offers a panorama in a class of its own. Of course, there are numerous friendly wine cellars along the way that invite you to stop by to taste the exquisite wines here. The small medieval town of Neunkirch, which you skate through, has an impressive picturesque old town, quaint streets and romantic courtyards. The rectangular town complex from the middles ages has been preserved to the present day.
The route follows well-maintained asphalt paths and is thus ideally suitable for skating. Mostly these are side roads that are closed for car traffic. Thus the route is also suitable for families. Clockwise the route is technically a bit easier than counterclockwise.
