Gurnigelwald-Gürbe
Wattenwil–Wattenwil
The Gurnigelwald-Gürbe Bike leads through vast, unknown woods. Departing from Wattenwil in upper Gürbental, the route takes you to Gurnigel and back passing through Gurnigelbad.
From Wattenwil the national “Panorama Bike” mountain bike route 2 serves as direct path to the Gantrisch Biking round tour 504 «Gurnigelwald – Gürbe». Through the Bluemistei woods, the trail then continually climbs to the Gurnigel Berghaus - an ideal place for a pause.
The descent that follows is in part narrow and bumpy, but fun. A short diversion along the way to visit to the Gunigelbad Restaurant is something else you won't regret!
A long gravel path leads down the valley to the Gürbeübergang crossing and final obstacle. Some peddle their way through the water, but the majority sling their bikes over their shoulders to get to the other side over the stone slates.
