Natèas Bike
Scuol, Motta Naluns–Scuol
Cableway ascent, an exciting descent with 1000 metres difference in altitude, and a picture book panorama: that's what the biker can expect on the route from the Motta Naluns, the house mountain in Scoul, past Natéas and the picturesque Ftan, back to Scuol.
The cableway carries bikers comfortably from Scuol to Motta Naluns in 2156 metres. From the south-exposed observation deck, a magnificent view of Tarasp and to the opposite Engadiner Dolomites is on offer.
Right away, there is a first, steep descent. It follows a trail, especially built for bikers, down to Salez. Now, a short ascent on a dirt road leads to Natéas. Here, the next varied descent is already waiting: on single trails down to Nischöl and via Clarai, the route leads through the forest to the well-known high-alpine Institute Ftan.
Past the village centre in Ftan Grond and towards the district Pitschen, one reaches soon wide traffic-free roads. Here, bikers enjoy a beautiful view across Scuol to Piz San Jon and Piz Lischana, as well as the castle Tarasp on the picturesque Piz Pisoc, the highest point of the Swiss National Park. At the end of the descent, we reach once more the valley station of the cableway and the train station in Scuol.
