Granpanoramica Poschiavina
Poschiavo–Poschiavo
This bike route combines nature and sports experiences with a sprinkling of history and culture thrown in. The effort of climbing past numerous mountain farms is rewarded with a brisk ride down to the Poschiavo Lake.
Starting point is the Borgo di Poschiavo, the historic village centre, which is characterised by features usually associated with towns. A ride along the old cobbled streets provides a chance to discover the rich architectural heritage and to absorb the Mediterranean atmosphere.
The biking tour starts with a climb northwards to the village of Privilasco. Then, except for a bend below Masala, the route continues on a paved road. Near Braita Dasott, the route changes to a natural trail which takes you gently up and down. Once in the Val d'Ursé, you turn around and follow the stream downhill. Near the Puntiglia alpine pasture, you cross the stream and leave the Val d'Ursé. From there the trail continues to rise and fall to the forest until you reach the Urgnasc mountain farm where the trail opens onto a green plateau. From Clef the route proceeds through Vamporti and leads to the Selva mountain farm. The two white chapels bear silent testimony to the Reformation and Counter-reformation in the Valposchiavo. The trail continues to Madreda where you turn off to Torn.
Now comes the breath-taking descent to the shores of Lake Poschiavo. The whole ride down can be enjoyed along a fabulous and smooth course. After leaving the village Le Prese, you soon reach Poschiavo where the tour ends. Enjoying an ice cream on the Piazza, the village square, is the perfect reward and provides an ideal opportunity to look back and reflect on the many emotions and impressions of the day.

Hints
Tours with an e-mountain bike
The tourism organisations had these routes registered specifically as e-mountain bike routes. Technically, they are not too difficult, no passages where the bike has to be carried, short sections where it needs to be pushed, and doable with one battery charge (max. 1000 -1200 m altitude difference).
