Average-hard excursion that goes through the Val Bedretto up to a marvelous high mountain path that offers a breathtaking panorama over both the valley and the pass of the St. Gotthard. From Airolo, the pathway steadily climbs up to Pesciüm, which can also be reached by cableway. From there, a dirt patch unwinding through mountain pastures and larch woods will bring you to the town of Ronco. A regular path will then lead you through the Nüfenen pass back to Airolo.

Highlights: the Gotthard cheese factory with its cheese-making, the Bedretto Valley, the ancient road «della Tremola» of the St Gotthard Pass an the National Museum of St Gotthard.
