Scalettapass/Keschhütte
Davos Platz–Davos Platz
Well-known bike tour through high alpine terrain. The tour is designed as an outstanding two-day tour with an overnight in the «Keschhütte» (mountain lodge).
You leave Davos riding through the beautiful Dischmatal valley to Dürrboden. Here begins what is sometimes a steep climb to the old Saumweg and then onto the Scalettapass. A good biker can ride 80-90% of the pass. The down hill to Alp Funtauna demands full control and is at times tricky. Through the high valley of Val Funtauna you ride mostly on good single trail which rises steeply to Keschhütte mountain lodge.
The modern SAC-lodge is even equipped with Scandinavian-styled duvets, an invitation to really unwind. The stunning panorama offers a view over glaciers and mountains. The descent through Val Tuors to Bergun is brisk. From Filisur back to Davos you cross the 80-metre high Wiesner viaduct and crossing the Zügen gorge provides a further highlight.
