Davos (Wolfgang)–Wiesen (Station)
With the exception of a few uphill sections, most of this simple route through the Davos countryside is downhill, making it ideal for families and e-bikes. And one of its highlights is the old road through the stunning Zügenschlucht (Zügen Gorge).
This easy tour runs from the Wolfgangpass along simple field tracks or secondary roads through the open countryside of Davos, following the river downstream via Frauenkirch and Lengmatta to Glaris.
After the Monstein station comes the branch-off to the old road known as the Zügenstrasse. This former cantonal road takes us on a spectacular journey through the narrow gorge. With spectacular views we branch off at the Bärentritt (small flight of steps) onto a single trail that runs high above the gorge down to the Wiesen Station.
More than 3/4 of this tour is asphalted, making it particularly attractive also for e-bikes and families. From the Wiesen Station we then simply take the Rhaetian Railway to travel back in comfort to Davos Platz, Davos Dorf or to starting point at Davos Wolfgang.
