Hochtal Bargis
Flims–Flims
From Flims Dorf this easy tour takes you to the hidden waterfalls of the Rusna «Cathetral» via the Walser village of Fidaz and past the mighty rock face of the Flimserstein.
This technically fairly easy tour takes you up to the Bargis mountain valley. From the start in Flims you cycle on the tarmacked road up to the Walser village of Fidaz, past the mighty Flimserstein rock face to Bargis. The Berghaus Bargis serves the best fruit tart of the region. After some well-earned refreshments you continue on a dirt track through the picturesque mountain valley.
The road takes you along the mighty Flimserstein across the plateau, then climbs slowly and ends at the Alp Rusna. Behind the Alp Rusna on the left is the narrow, gorge-like entrance to the «Cathetral». A footpath runs alongside the stream through the steep rock faces. The two waterfalls rushing down from the pulpit distinguish this unique natural landmark. You return the same way you came.

Tours with an e-mountain bike
The tourism organisations had these routes registered specifically as e-mountain bike routes. Technically, they are not too difficult, no passages where the bike has to be carried, short sections where it needs to be pushed, and doable with one battery charge (max. 1000 -1200 m altitude difference). Details about e-mountain biking are available at
