Crest la Siala Bike

Tour from Falera via the ridge Crest la Siala to the Crap Masegn requiring a high level of stamina. The high altitude part offers profound Insights in to alpine terrain. A reward awaits you at the end: the fun Runca trail with its playful tables and waves.
From Laax the route leads to Falera. Then an easily negotiable dirt track takes you up to Curnius. The cosy mountain restaurant there is the ideal place to gather strength for the remaining climb. Slowly you leave the treeline behind you and, after a climb of about 1,000m, approach the Crap Sogn Gion with the Laax cableway's distinctive summit station, which can be seen from afar. Before completing the tour at the Crap Masegn, there are roughly another 300m to climb. If you want to save yourself the uphill climb, take the cable car from Laax, Murschetg up to Crap Sogn Gion, and you will just have another 300 metres in altitude ahead.

You descend on the ascent route over the ridge Crest la Siala for about one kilometre, then the trail branches off to the left. The start of the descent is quite a challenge: the terrain is technically demanding, a stony single trail through partly rocky terrain leads down to the mountain stream Ual Draus. This you follow to the valley basin of Plaun. After passing through a forest, you reach the Runca heights at a clearing, where you can take a break in the mountain restaurant and enjoy some pizokels and other local delicacies.

From here onwards, the flow feeling is perfect as the Runca trail winds down to Flims Waldhaus through the forest. The part starting at the Runca heights is peppered with some well rideable wooden elements, bends, tables and a few jumps. All obstacles can be bypassed. Whether professional or beginner - the "flow country trail" through the wild nature sceneries puts a smile on everyone's face. Afterwards, the 3.5 kilometres back to Laax are child’s play.
