Lampertschalp

Scenic and varied tour along the shore of the Zervreila Lake to the Lampertschalp plateau. Impressive views of the high alpine Länta valley and of the imposing Zervreilahorn peak.
From the starting point of Vals Post Office through the village of Vals to the valley station of the Vals cable car and up the road, then through the «Rotabärg» Gorge to the tunnel and through it and further on to Zervreila. After the dam comes a steep climb to the «Zervreilachappeli». On a gently downhill dirt road, the tour continues to the «Lampertschalp». There you find an Alpine inn and make a well-earned pit stop. The high-alpine mountain world of the «Länta» valley is impressive on the return trip as well, along the same route, this time with a view of the valley. At the Restaurant Zervreila there's a chance for rest and refreshments. From there, the rapid descent to Vals begins. On this route you share the path with hikers – please be considerate.

Many attractions such as the alpine flora, the chapel of St. Bartholomew in Zervreila, the stunning scenery of the Zervreilahorn before the dam, the «Länta» valley and the «Lampertschalp» make this route a real pleasure.
