CM 1988 Bike1
Crans-Montana (Aminona)–Crans-Montana (Aminona)
This very demanding route, signposted for the 1988 Mountain Bike Championships, will allow you to test your physical fitness, as you enjoy the many exceptional local spots which you'll find in Aminona.
The first Mountain Bike World Championships took place in Crans-Montana back in 1988. Today, the 18km route which is on offer is almost identical to the one which Mike Kloser sailed through to win first medal.
Departure is from Aminona where you can leave your car in the car park. From here, prepare for a concentrated effort. There are several possibilities for stops en route, at the Cave du Scex or the Plumachit restaurant.
The itinerary takes you mostly on beaten earth tracks and includes a few interesting technical sections. The views of the most beautiful 4000 m mountains in the Valaisan Alps and the natural surroundings will make you forget the physical effort which this trail demands.
