Sportbad Käpfnach
Horgen has two beautiful swimming complexes on the lake. Sportbad Käpfnach, with its heated 50-metre tournament swimming pool in the lake, is something out of the ordinary. The concrete basin is anchored in position where it floats in the lake.
The water of the Olympic swimming pool is heated – but for reasons of energy economy, the water temperature does not go any higher than 22-24° C. This makes it possible for swimmers and waterball athletes to enjoy extended training sessions in the open air.
Along with the striking changing room building, the light blue swimming pool makes an interesting contrast with the dark waters of the lake. The Sportbad Käpfnach swimming complex also has a pool lift for persons with special needs, and a self-service restaurant offering freshly prepared dishes.
