St-Luc

The Valais resort of St-Luc lies at an altitude of around 1600 metres on the sunny eastern slope of the Val d’Anniviers (Eifischtal) above the valley village of Vissoie. St-Luc still bears witness to the Val d’Anniviers’ past belle époque splendour. The simple guesthouse, built in 1883 on the northern edge of the village of St.-Luc, quickly developed into the Grand Hotel Bella Tola & St-Luc and was voted Historic Hotel of the Year in 2001.
The ultra-modern François-Xavier Bagnoud astronomical observatory in St-Luc brings the stars up close with its 60cm telescope, and the scale of the celestial bodies can be gauged along the planet theme trail, which climbs to 2500 metres.
