JURASSICA Museum

JURASSICA Museum

The JURASSICA Museum aims to preserve, enhance and showcase the Jura's natural heritage. Together with the Botanic Gardens, it forms one of the rare combinations of this kind in Switzerland.
The Botanic Gardens are over 200 years old and display several aspects of flora in a magnificent architectural setting. An outdoor garden is planted with more than 80 rose varieties and 180 different kinds of irises, among other plants. The greenhouses are particularly worth a visit with their remarkable collection of cacti and orchids.

With the launch of the PaléoJura project, the museum will have to expand in the coming years to ensure the preservation and development of the paleontological heritage discovered during excavation of the A16 motorway.
