Schwellisee-Route
Parpaner Rothorn–Arosa
Immerse yourself in the magnificent mountain scenery of Arosa Lenzerheide and experience nature from its most beautiful side. Crystal clear lakes reflect the splendor of the mountains.
Enjoy the magnificent view from Parpaner Rothorn over 1'000 mountain peaks before you embark on the hike to the Gredigs Fürggli and on to the Urdenfürggli. The hike leads via Urder Augstberg to Hörnli.
From there, a trail leads in direction to the Älplisee, past the peaks of Arosa. Once you have left the rocky landscape behind you, you reach the crystal-clear Älplisee via alpine meadows. The path continues through the Chlus - a somewhat exposed passage, well secured by a steel rope - to the solitary Arve.
Already one catches the first glances over the pearl of the Aroser mountain lakes: the Schwellisee. On a slightly descending path, one reaches the cool water - a wonderful refreshment on hot summer days. Afterwards, the path winds past the road and meadows back to Arosa.
