Rundwanderung Gelmersee

The Gelmersee circular walk provides fascinating insights into the mountainscape of the Grimsel region. Along the lake the steams and huge ledges invite you to linger. The Gelmerbahn takes you up to the starting point of the circular walk.
After the spectacular mountain ascent with the Gelmerbahn - the steepest funicular railway in Europe with an incline of 106% - the mountain walk around the Gelmersee starts.

After the circuit of the Gelmersee, the circular walk passes across lush Alpine pastures on its way to Kunzentännlein. The starting point, Handegg, is reached again via the old mule track.
