Rothrist swimming complex
This charming family-focused swimming complex comprises indoor and outdoor swimming pools as well as sauna facilities, and offers a whole lot of attractions for young and old throughout the year. Centrally situated close to the Wiggertal motorway intersection, it can easily be reached from any direction.
The Rothrist bathing complex was constructed in 1973, and is still very popular today with the entire region. The indoor facility offers a combined pool (25 metres for swimmers, a non-swimmers’ pool and a diving pool with a one-metre diving board), a bubble pool, a splash pool and a tubular slide.
The outdoor swimming pool was completely renovated in 2013, when all the pools faced with stainless steel. The complex includes a 50-metre swimming pool, a pool for non-swimmers with play equipment, a diving pool with diving boards at 1 and 3 metres and a six-metre climbing wall, as well as a paddling pool and a children’s playground.
The sauna facilities segregate the sexes. There is a Finnish sauna (80° C), a bio sauna (60° C), a steam bath (only Sauna 1), plunge pools, foot baths, adventure showers, a fresh air zone and a relaxation room.
In the course of the year various events take place – including a 24-hour swim with disco, swimming by moonlight with live music, candlelit swimming with dinner by the poolside and fondue get-togethers. The Café Delphin offers hot food all day and a wide choice of beverages.
