Garenne Zoo

Mammals, birds, reptiles and a major collection of European birds of prey await visitors at La Garenne Zoo, where foxes, lynx, wolves and small birds of prey live...
You will be able to admire over 180 animal species, one of the most complete presentations in Europe. More than 20 species of nocturnal and diurnal birds of prey live next to other bird species. Mammals, such as wolves, lynx and foxes let you experience their world. There are 35 species of reptiles. One of them is the water turtle, the only turtle that lives naturally in Switzerland. Not to mention the amphibians, the fish and the invertebrate, ranging from the wood ant to the European scorpion. This zoo was the first to see the birth a baby monk vulture raised by its parents held in captivity. A great many species that are considered threatened (vultures, owls, grand-dukes, black kites) have also been reproduced there. Apart from these 180 species, there are beautiful rock gardens and aquariums enchanting visitors. Playground and self-service restaurant on site.
