NMB New Museum Biel

NMB New Museum Biel

The NMB is a versatile museum of history, art and archaeology. In the two neighbouring «Schwab» and «Neuhaus» buildings, the NMB presents varied exhibitions on the cultural history of the region ranging from prehistoric times to those of today and on the history of cinema.
Two buildings, one single museum: Created in 2012, the NMB came into being through the merge of the neighbouring Neuhaus and Schwab museums. It presents the rich and varied cultural history of the Biel-Seeland region from prehistoric times to those of today.

With collections of national interest, in the form of both changing and permanent exhibitions, the NMB invites visitors to journeys of discovery through the rich cultural heritage of archaeology to the history of industry and cinema. And whether young or old, art or nature lover, stilt-construction or watch fans – this is the place where visitors permanently meet with new and exciting exhibitions staged the lively way.

The NMB is a bilingual museum with presentations in German and French.
