Maison Tavel
The Genevan life of yesteryear. The Maison Tavel, built in the 12th century, is the oldest private house in Geneva.
The aspect of the current façade corresponds to the original. Since 1986, the Maison Tavel has housed the Museum of the old Geneva which retraces the history and daily life of the Genevois from the 14th to the 19th centuries.
Don’t miss, on the top floor, Switzerland’s largest relief map, which depicts the way Geneva was around 1850.
