Old town Stein am Rhein

Old town Stein am Rhein

Stein am Rhein is one of the most beautiful and best-preserved Old Towns of Switzerland. The charming cultural town is famous for its magnificent mural paintings and romantic alleys.
Stein am Rhein is a unique gem and a town that offers a wide variety of art, culture and outdoor activities. As colourful as the magnificent facades of the Rathausplatz present themselves, as varied is the range of culinary delights and activities available. This picturesque little town is situated amidst beautiful countryside – where Lake Constance becomes the Rhine River again.

The Fortress, Burg Hohenklingen, overlooks the Old Town. Fully renovated in 2008, it offers the guests, after a short climb, a breathtaking view of the magnificent Rhine River scenery, Lake Constance and the southern Hegau. Enjoy a fruity Schaffhausen Pinot Noir in the inviting restaurant in the fortress.
