Mario Botta's tower on Mount Moron
The impressive 30-metre-high «Tour de Moron» was designed by Mario Botta. The view from the top of the Tower extends over the first chain of the Jura and the Alpine arc, from the Säntis to Mont Blanc. To the north, you can see the Vosges and the Black Forest.
The tower gave over 700 apprentices and their teachers a chance to build a striking structure for the general public that testifies to their wonderful profession.
To preserve the beauty of this magnificent natural site, visitors like to walk, bike or ride to the tower on horseback. Several routes are suggested along with all the information needed for a pleasant hike.
Between 1965 and 1968, Mario Botta built his first house in the Tessin. Since then he has created many easily recognisable masterpieces, starting in Lugano and reaching as far as Tokio and San Francisco.
