Tour du Mont Pélerin
Chexbres–Palézieux–Chardonne–Chexbres
Atypical bike itinerary on which you will behold the Lavaux terraced vineyards and the more hilly countryside just inland. Interesting discovery of small roads leading through fields and forests.
Departure from Chexbres nestling in the heart of Lavaux, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The itinerary leads you across fields and forests on secondary roads with little traffic. Although you will have a sometimes surprising view of the lake after coming round a bend or two, the remainder of the itinerary is an invitation to explore paths that cross a variety of landscapes. Lake Bret is on this route, but above all Mont Pèlerin, which you will cycle round completely.
Your return trip will take you to the famous Lavaux terraces with its unique view of the lake and the mountains. The steep descent will give you an idea of the steep slopes characterising the Lavaux vineyards.
