Rundloipe Valüna

Rundloipe Valüna

Spruce forests, bridges and the babbling Saminabach river are just three of the many highlights in the Steg-Valüna cross-country skiing area, which offers 15 kilometres of well-maintained trails winding their way through a quiet and diverse landscape.
For more than 40 years the association Valünalopp has been responsible for developing and maintaining Liechtenstein’s cross-country skiing infrastructure. The trails around Steg (1300m) lead into the idyllic Valünatal Valley and draw many cross-country skiing enthusiasts thanks not only to the sporting challenge they present but also thanks to their diverse landscape and total peace and quiet.

Cross-country skiing enthusiasts can look forward to trails leading across snow-covered plains, through thick spruce forests, along the banks of the Saminabach river and over many bridges. Far from civilization, the only noises to be heard are the sounds of nature and the crunching of skis on snow – the perfect place to leave the stress of daily life behind and get away from it all.

Liechtenstein’s cross-country skiing mecca caters for both the classic technique and the more modern and dynamic skating technique. Skiers of all ages and abilities, from experts wanting to train their endurance to beginners with little experience, will find exactly what they are looking for in Steg.
