Rietliloipe Fischenthal
Fischenthal–Fischenthal
A flat trail, embedded between the hills of the Upper Töss Valley: The Rietli cross-country ski trail of Fischenthal is especially popular for beginners who would like to start leisurely. It has been selected as Herzloipe (heart cross-country ski trail).
The area could also pass as a cross-country ski trail in the Engadine or in Goms. Spectacular views and being far from the hustle and bustle of the cities make you forget where you are. However, the Rietli cross-country ski trail of Fischenthal is more easily accessible for many winter sport athletes. The actual start of the trail is at the Rietli pond in front of the Blume Restaurant in Fischenthal.
The cross-country ski trail is beautifully laid-out, passing through the Fischenthal reed nature reserve as far as Gibswil, returning on the other side of the valley. On the way back to Fischenthal, a refreshment stand with drinks and cakes invites to stay a bit longer.
The leisurely, technically easy circular cross-country ski trail without gradients is suitable for less experienced cross-country skiers. It has been selected by the Swiss Heart Foundation as heart cross-country ski trail, Herzloipe, as it is especially suitable for those who want to do something for their heart health and stay physically active in wintertime.
