Guaranteed snow on 1,400 metres above sea level and sheltered in the valley of Madils lies the equally named Madils cross-country skiing trail. It is regarded as easy to medium difficult and still technically versatile. As although the trail is mostly flat, here and there inclinations or declinations need to be mastered.

The trail starts directly in front of the restaurant Sennenstube and a slight declination leads to the plateau of Madils. It leads along the stream, which is winding through the upland moor, and then through some freestanding fir trees, which give the winter landscape a charming look. On the way back, there is a great panoramic view. The summits of the seven Churfirsten are presented in their best light.

Depending on the snow height also the race trail is prepared, which extends the Madils round as skating track for advanced sports enthusiasts by about one kilometre.
