Piste du Mont-Crosin
Mont-Crosin–Bise de Cortébert–Mont-Crosin
This route, which starts from the Mont-Crosin pass, follows the ridge towards la Bise de Cortébert where you will take the same path but in the opposite direction. The view over the Chasseral massif and the closeness of the wind turbines make the detour worthwhile.
Starting from Mont Crosin where Switzerland's biggest wind farm is located (a total of 16 wind turbines), this cross-country skiing route follows the ridge towards la Bise de Cortébert which is situated on the Montagne du Droit, before returning to your starting point by the same route.
Keeping you company all along your route are the Chasseral massif to the south which rises above the Saint-Imier valley and, only a few metres away, the imposing wind turbines. With a bit of luck you will be able to see the Vosges mountains silhouetted against the sky behind the Franches-Montagnes plateau to the north.
